What is PebbletsIO Notch?
PebbletsIO Notch is a tiny companion app for Mac that lives in your notch. A little character peeks out with gentle reminders through your day, like drink water, stretch, and rest your eyes, then tucks away. It is a lighter, notch-sized cousin of the PebbletsIO desktop pets.
Is PebbletsIO Notch free?
Yes, it is free to download and comes with Pebby, the free mascot, so your notch has a friend from the first launch. Each other character is a one-time purchase of 2.99 US dollars, with local pricing in other currencies. There is no subscription.
Do I need a Mac with a notch?
No. It is made for the notch on modern MacBook Pro and Air models, and on a Mac without a notch the companion tucks into the same spot at the top of your screen. It needs macOS 14 Sonoma or newer.
What reminders can it give me?
There are ten gentle check-ins: morning hello, drink water, stretch, take a walk, take a break, rest your eyes, fix your posture, wind down, battery low, and plugged in. You choose which ones you want and how often they visit. Everything is opt-in, with no streaks and no guilt.
What languages does it speak?
Five, each written by hand in its own native script: English, Spanish, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese. Pick one in settings and your companion switches over.
Does PebbletsIO Notch read my screen or track me?
No. Reminders run entirely on your Mac. It never reads your screen, never looks at your files, and never sends your activity anywhere. It is just a little friend keeping you company.
Is the Notch the same purchase as the desktop companion?
No. The Notch characters are separate, cheaper products from the full Mac and Windows desktop companions. Buying a character for the Notch does not unlock the full companion, and buying the full companion does not unlock the Notch. Each is bought once and kept forever.
How do I unlock a character?
Download the free app, open it, and pick the character you like. Pebby is free to start. To keep one of the PopStars in your notch, buy it once for 2.99 US dollars and it is yours forever, synced to your account.
